A major change to B.C.'s drug decriminalization program has been approved. The federal government has said yes to B.C.'s request to recriminalize illicit drug use in public spaces. As CBC’s Meera Bains reports, the move means police will have the authority to ask people to leave public areas if they are caught using drugs and posing a risk to others, seize drugs when necessary or arrest the person, if required.
